Info: Clomiphene citrate is not a steroid, although it is commonly associated with anabolic steroids. Clomiphene citrate belongs to a class of medications known as Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators or SERM’s with attributes that stimulate and increase the production of gonadotropins in the body. Gonadotropins are protein based hormones that largely derive from the cells of the pituitary gland and are essential for a properly functioning endocrine system. Due to its mode of action Clomiphene citrate was developed for the purpose of ovarian stimulation, however, because it stimulates all gonadotropins its use can and does go far beyond ovarian stimulation and is used by many athletes as part of a post cycle recovery plan.

EFFECTS
The compound works by minimizing or blocking the effects of estrogen in the body and is utilized to overcome gynocomastia and raise the body natural testosterone levels. It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that increases production of gonadotropins by inhibiting negative feedback on the hypothalamus.
